Individuals may submit applications for Membership in The Real Estate Group after having attended three meetings as the guest of a member. Applicants must be under the age of 40 and are encouraged to meet the members of the Executive Committee. Upon reaching the age of 40, active members become honorary and continue to share the same privileges.
Applications must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from two (2) active or honorary members. The Executive Committee will consider applications twice a year – typically in the fall and winter seasons. The next round of applications are due by February 5, 2021.
It should be noted the Committee will seek to maintain both the diversity and overall size of The Real Estate Group. Consequently, the review and award of new memberships is based on the space available within each industry group (i.e. development, brokerage, banking, architecture, construction, etc.). Also, it is a tradition to limit membership to two (2) individuals per company. Although this tradition will continue as a guide for selecting new members, given the recent consolidation and growth in the industry, applicants that are otherwise interested should not be discouraged from applying merely because their respective company may already have two (2) members.
