Membership

The Executive Board will consider applications twice a year, typically in June and December. The next application deadline is due on December 5th, 2024 for the remainder of the 2024-2025 season beginning January 2025.

 

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Attend a minimum of 3 Real Estate Group events, of which at least 2 are Speaker Series events.
  • Have at least 3 years of relevant real estate experience.
  • Be under the age of 40 throughout the upcoming Real Estate Group season.
  • Receive 2 letters of recommendation from active and/or honorary members. Current Executive Board Members shall not provide letters of recommendation.
  • Strongly encouraged to meet with the Executive Board Members to discuss membership. Please meet with no less than one week prior to the application deadline.

 

The Executive Board will evaluate applicants based on the following:

  • Above criteria being largely satisfied.
  • Applicant’s professionalism, industry reputation, and career accomplishments.
  • Executive Board members’ individual experiences with each candidate.
  • Capacity among membership openings, industry groups (i.e. acquisitions, development, banking, brokerage, attorneys, consultants, etc.), and firms (limit to 2 per company). Applications where a company maintains 2 active members will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis as it relates to size of company and area of expertise / job function of applicant.

Upon reaching the age of 40, active members become honorary members and continue to share similar privileges.
